The line to Ely from Peterborough is mechanically signal by a number of signal boxes. Over the years there has been some rationalisation but 8 boxes remain at Kings Dyke, Whittlesea (plus gate hut), Three Horse Shoes, March (East and South), Stonea (no photograph) and Manea.
