The line from Birmingham through Water Orton and on to Nuneaton was resignalled in 1969 with control passing to the power Box at Saltley. Some signal boxes remained and one Washwood Heath Sidings No. 1 is still standing in 2012 although I am not sure if in use. Control of the Nuneaton area passed to Nuneaton Power Box in the 1990s and the line on to the Junction with the Midland Main Line at Wigston North Junction passed to the East Midlands Control Centre in early 2012.
