The Nottingham to Skegness line retained mechanical signalling until recently although beyond the East Coast Main Line much remains.
From Nottingham Sneinton Crossing Shunt Frame gate box has long gone. The boxes at Netherfield Junction, Rectory Junction, Bingham, and Bottesford West Junction were close recently with control passing to the East Midlands Signalling Centre. At Allington Junction control passed to a new box. At the same time Barkston East Junction Signal Box closed with control passing to the new Allington Box. From here boxes at Ancaster, Rauceby, Sleford (West and East), Heckington, Hubberts Bridge, Wet Street Boston, and Skegness survive.
