In early 2017 it was announced that Colas Rail had purchased two Class 67 locomotives from DB Cargo UK for use on test trains. The two locos with 67 027 bringing up the rear and 67023 leading pass Kings Norton with 1Z23 0740 Bristol High Level Siding to Tyseley Locomotive Maintenance Depot test train on Thursday 20-04-2017.
