The line until early 2020 had much signalling interest with signal boxes and semaphores. The resignalling of the line was completed in February 2020. At Brundall there is a signal box and the junction with the Great Yarmouth line, Next comes Cantley with its box and level crossing. At Reedham a line to Great Yarmouth diverges and a signal box controls the junction. Around the corner is Reedham Swing Bridge with another swing bridge at Somerleyton both with signal boxes. Next is Oulton Broad North Station signal box which controls the junction for the line to Ipswich.
