From Gascoigne Wood the line heads west with Gascoigne Wood box passed first, followed by Thorpe Gates subsequently demolished, before the boxes at Selby are reached. The line then continues to Gilberdyke Junction where the line from Doncaster joins. The line to Hull was resignalled in 2018 and number of traditional signal boxes were taken out of use.
