The line to Chester with its branch to Bidston retains many mechanical signal boxes. Shrewsbury Crewe Junction controls the northern exit from Shrewsbury. A little further north is Cotton Hill North box which is now a house. Gobowen North controls a level crossing and has some semaphores. Next is the delightful named Croes Newydd North Fork at Wrexham where the branch diverges. There is a signal box at Penyffordd (not in this collection yet) followed by Dee Marsh Junction.
