The line from Shrewsbury to Crewe has now been resignalled and the signal boxes at Shrewsbury Crewe Bank, Harlescott Crossing, Wem, Prees, Whitchurch, Wrenbury and Nantwich have all closed with control passing to South Wales Control Centre. Gresty Lane is due to close in December 2015.
